My Nail Care Regimen with Color Street

I was so excited to find out about Color Street nail polish strips that I started selling them in July! I've recently settled into what I think is the ideal nail care routine for using Color Street so I thought I would share.

Color Street comes off with regular nail polish remover, and I remove the strips at night. Mineral Fusion is a brand that is gentler on your nails, but any remover will work.

Cuticle oil / Going Naked

After removing your polish, wash your hands and slather your nails and cuticles with oil before going to bed. File them gently, and push the cuticles back.  “Going naked” allows your nails to breathe but can sometimes make them more vulnerable so it’s best to go naked at night.

Strengthening Basecoat

In the morning, apply a coat of nail strengthener. This helps prevent breakage and can also help your manicure last longer. I use Original Nail Envy nail strengthener by O.P.I., and I allow it to cure for several hours before applying my nail strips. This waiting period is to prevent the base coat from lifting during application in case you need to reposition the strip.

Manicure Time

Although Color Street nail polish strips are dry to the touch immediately, it’s best to apply the strips before bed to allow them to completely cure to the nail before submerging them in water or doing heavy housework.

Save Money

If you do everything right, your manicure can last up to 10 or even 14 days, but even if you are rough on your nails and they chip off after a week, CS is still cheaper than going to the salon. Most women can get two manicures or a manicure and pedicure out of one set of Color Street and still have leftovers, so if you take advantage of the Buy 3 Get 1 free deal, you’ll spend less than $5 per manicure! And you don’t need to find a babysitter to get your nails done. With Color Street, you can change a diaper right after doing your nails!!!

I just can’t say enough about these amazing nail polish strips. Please order them from me since I’m the one who told you about them! If you’re a newbie, maybe start with some “glitters” or “glitter designs” since they are easiest to apply. If you prefer solids or non-glitter designs, I recommend also purchasing a set of “Clear As Day” to wear over them.
